Ba Sing Se Ba Sing Se's enormous walls have been preserved in the name of culture, but because all earthbending has been eradicated from its inner rings, most of the internal structure has been modified from natural rock to brick and metal. Wood is still a rare building material, and most of the city's income comes from its sale of plastic and fine metal. |

Omashu After the elimination of bending, it was the earthbending cities that were hit the hardest, seeing as their bending provided them with their very homes. Omashu, whose gates could only be opened by skilled earthbenders, fell into a state of degradation, and although it was shielded from the Equalist's attacks, the economic siege that it endured left it the largest ghost town in the world. Today, no one lives there but nomads traveling through the area. |

Cave of Two Lovers The first attempt to infiltrate Omashu by the Equalists ended in tragedy. They were unaware of the legend of the two lovers, and thought the caves would be a good way to inconspicuously attack Omashu. Once inside, they were unable to find their way out, and dozens of Equalists were killed. After the third search party, they stopped looking, and no Equalists have ever set foot inside the cave since. |

Lake Laogai Lake Laogai was once the headquarters of a conspiracy run by the treacherous Dai Li, the so-called 'cultural police' of Ba Sing Se. It was under the guise of being a vacation spot, but today, it has become a real vacation spot. However, that's only on the surface. Long ago, the remaining benders rediscovered what was previously thought to be lost- the underground headquarters of the Dai Li. With the exception of the abandoned Central City Station in Amon Memorial City, it has become the largest hideaway for benders in the Earth Kingdom. |

Si Wong Desert The Si Wong Desert is the largest and the hottest desert on Earth. Look in all four directions and all you can see is the endless ocean of sand, the rolling hills wavering under the intense desert heat, moving like a body of water. The desert was once sparsely inhabited by sandbender tribes, and there is but one known city by the name of the Misty Palms Oasis. |

Kyoshi Island - 1 Viewing Legend says that Kyoshi Island was once the home of a powerful sorcerer who possessed powers unknown to mankind. Of course, this is in reference to Avatar Kyoshi, who did once inhabit the island. Since the revolution, the Equalists have concentrated exclusively on this island due to the threat it possesses with all its knowledge of bending and the Avatars. However, they haven't been able to completely eradicate all knowledge from the island. Instead, they keep it a secret, keeping official trading routes from crossing its path. The Order has a secret hideaway here where earthbenders are taught. |

Great Divide The Great Divide is a jagged crack in the flesh of the earth that runs across miles and miles of land, and was once only able to be traversed if one was accompanied by a professional earthbending guide. Since the modernization of the world, a bridge has been built over the length of the divide in some areas, and the Canyon Guide Station has been developed into a tourist center. |

Foggy Swamp Since the Foggy Swamp tribe was known during Avatar Korra's time, it was one of the first places to be wiped off the map. A few non-bending tribe members still reside here, but due to industrialization, the swamp area has shrunken considerably. |
