Kyoshi Island

Legend says that Kyoshi Island was once the home of a powerful sorcerer who possessed powers unknown to mankind. Of course, this is in reference to Avatar Kyoshi, who did once inhabit the island. Since the revolution, the Equalists have concentrated exclusively on this island due to the threat it possesses with all its knowledge of bending and the Avatars. However, they haven't been able to completely eradicate all knowledge from the island. Instead, they keep it a secret, keeping official trading routes from crossing its path. The Order has a secret hideaway here where earthbenders are taught.
